We are peaceful country and we love peace. But, today I was surprised to read an online version of christian magazine Church Executive, which icluded Maldives among top 10 worst places to live as a Christian. People must understand that Islam is the predominant religion of the Maldives and vast majority of Maldivians want it that way. But, as a Maldivian I have never know that we are hostile nation to Christians or Christianity in general. There are thousands of chirtians from various countries living here locally and I have never heard of any difficulty they may have faced. Practicing other religions apart from Islam is illegal in public places.

It is hell for people like us.
As long as the foreigners (Christians) act "quiet" at private services and conduct themselves like dhimmis (infidels) you are a "peaceful country and we love peace."
Yet see one display of Christianity in puiblic or have one native person accept the good news of love and joy of Jesus Christ into their hearts - and you become a murderous mob.
